Optical Flow Interpolation
A method that creates new in-between frames by estimating how every pixel moves, enabling smooth slow motion from ordinary footage. Plugins such as Twixtor made it common in video editing.

Spot it
- 01Ultra-smooth slow motion
- 02Warped stretchy edges
- 03Soap-opera fluid motion
Why it happens
Software computes per-pixel motion vectors between two frames and warps the pixels along them, synthesizing intermediate frames instead of repeating or blending existing ones.

Image-to-video prompt“Animate this image as an ultra-smooth interpolated slow-motion shot: motion flows continuously at very high frame rate with perfectly fluid in-between frames, subtle morphing and stretching at moving edges, no stutter, with a slow gentle camera drift. Give the clean, slightly synthetic look of frame interpolation. Keep the original subject and composition.”
