Cinemagraph
A photograph in which one small element loops in motion while the rest stays frozen. Photographers Kevin Burg and Jamie Beck coined the form in 2011 with fashion and city images.

Spot it
- 01Single moving detail
- 02Frozen still scene
- 03Seamless endless loop
Why it happens
A short clip is masked so only a chosen region plays, while the rest holds one frame, and the loop is cut so its end matches its start.

Image-to-video prompt“Animate this image as a cinemagraph: everything stays perfectly frozen except one small element, such as hair, steam, flowing water or fabric, which moves in a smooth, subtle, seamless loop. No camera movement, no change in the subject, and the first and last frames must match for an endless loop. Keep the original subject and composition.”
