Plasma Effect
A flowing, psychedelic color field made by adding sine waves and cycling a palette. It was a favorite demoscene effect on early-1990s VGA PCs and Amigas, showcasing smooth motion with tiny amounts of processing.

Spot it
- 01Swirling rainbow blobs
- 02Smooth sinusoidal contours
- 03Liquid color gradients
Why it happens
Overlapping sine functions give each pixel an index value, and animating the phase or rotating the palette makes the pattern ripple and churn.

Image-to-video prompt“Animate this image with a demoscene plasma effect: overlay it with liquid, swirling color fields in magenta, cyan, orange and violet, produced by interfering sine waves, with smooth contours endlessly rippling and morphing in a six-second seamless loop while the subject remains visible underneath. Keep the original subject and composition.”
