Low Poly
A style that builds images from a small number of flat-shaded triangles, giving a faceted, geometric look. It came from early 3D game limits and became a deliberate 2010s illustration style.

Spot it
- 01Flat triangular facets
- 02Crisp polygon edges
- 03Subtle gradient shading
Why it happens
The shape is approximated by a coarse mesh of flat polygons, each given a single color or lit with a single normal, so smooth surfaces turn into visible facets.

Image edit prompt“Redraw this image in a low poly style: the whole scene rebuilt from flat-shaded triangles of varying sizes, smaller around detailed areas, each facet filled with one solid color sampled from the original, crisp polygon edges, soft directional lighting across the facets and a clean gradient background. Keep the original subject and composition.”
