Light Trails
Glowing lines of light left by moving vehicles or lamps during a long exposure. Night city photography made it popular through the 2000s and 2010s, especially highways and traffic scenes.

Why it happens
A shutter that stays open for many seconds records every position of each moving light, so their paths accumulate on the sensor as continuous bright lines.

Image edit prompt“Add long exposure light trails to this image: sweeping glowing streaks of red taillights and white headlights curving through the scene, smooth ribbons with soft bloom, a dark deep-blue night sky, static elements such as buildings kept sharp and wet surfaces reflecting the streaks. Keep the original subject and composition.”
