ChromaDepth 3D
A 3D system that encodes depth as color, so red looks closest and blue farthest through special glasses. Richard Steenblik developed it in the 1990s, and since it needs no dual images, prints and screens stay watchable without the glasses.

- 02Blue distant background
- 03Black field for depth
Why it happens
The glasses contain diffractive optics that refract wavelengths differently, shifting each color slightly sideways between the eyes so the brain reads color as depth.

Image edit prompt“Recolor this image in ChromaDepth style: the nearest objects glow saturated red and orange, middle-distance parts turn yellow and green, the farthest areas become blue and violet, all against a black background, with smooth color gradients across depth so the scene appears layered in 3D. Keep the original subject and composition.”
