Matrix Digital Rain
Cascading columns of glowing green characters falling down a dark screen. The Matrix (1999) made it iconic, and designer Simon Whiteley built the glyphs from mirrored Japanese katakana, numerals and symbols.

Why it happens
Each column spawns a stream of random symbols that fade as they scroll downward, with the newest character brightest, mimicking a terminal phosphor display.

Image edit prompt“Overlay this image with Matrix-style digital rain: columns of mirrored katakana characters and numerals falling in glowing green, bright white leading glyphs with fading trails, subtle phosphor bloom, a dark green-tinted color grade and the subject visible through the code like a sci-fi terminal display. Keep the original subject and composition.”
