Template Matching Heatmap
A classic search method that slides a small patch across an image and scores the similarity at every position. The resulting heat map shows where the pattern appears, and it suits logos, icons and repeated parts.

Spot it
- 01Hot red-yellow peaks
- 02Cool blue low scores
- 03Bounding box on best match
Why it happens
Slides a template over the image and computes a normalized cross-correlation score at each offset; the brightest peaks in the score map are the best matches.

Image edit prompt“Render this image as a template matching result: overlay a semi-transparent jet-colormap heat map where deep blue marks poor matches and bright red-yellow peaks mark the best match locations for a small repeated feature, with a thin white bounding box around the top match. Keep the original subject and composition recognizable.”
