Segmentation Boundaries
A map of only the lines separating segmented regions, with the regions themselves removed. It is used to judge segmentation quality, to stylize images as outlines and to guide edge-aware editing.

Spot it
- 01Thin region outlines
- 02Mosaic of closed cells
- 03White lines on black
Why it happens
Marks a pixel as a boundary wherever its region label differs from that of a neighboring pixel, producing a one-pixel line between every pair of adjacent regions.

Image edit prompt“Convert this image into segmentation boundaries: segment it into meaningful regions, then show only the lines between them as thin, clean, one-to-two-pixel white lines on a pure black background, forming a closed-cell mosaic that follows object contours. No fills or shading. Keep the original subject and composition recognizable.”
