Polar Coordinates
A distortion that wraps a flat image around a point, folding the horizon into a circle. Photoshop's Polar Coordinates filter made the little-planet look popular with digital artists and panorama photographers in the 2000s.

Spot it
- 01Tiny-planet sphere
- 02Bent circular horizon
- 03Stretched pinched center
Why it happens
Each pixel's horizontal and vertical position is remapped to an angle and a radius, so the top edge collapses into a center point and the bottom spreads into a ring.

Image edit prompt“Warp this image with a polar coordinates transform into a tiny planet: the ground curls into a small sphere in the middle of the frame, the horizon forms a circle, the sky radiates outward in stretched streaks around it, and the structures bend toward the center. Keep colors natural. Keep the original subject and composition elements recognizable.”
