Motion Capture
The recording of a performer's movement to drive a digital character. Andy Serkis's Gollum in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002) brought performance capture to mainstream cinema, and it soon became standard in games and effects.

Why it happens
Cameras track reflective markers on a body from many angles, and software solves their 3D positions into joint rotations that animate a digital skeleton.

Image-to-video prompt“Animate this image as a motion-capture visualization: small reflective marker dots and a thin glowing skeleton wireframe overlay the subject, joints tracked as bright points with faint motion trails, while the subject makes a subtle natural movement against a clean grey capture-stage background with faint grid lines. Keep the original subject and composition.”
