Go Motion
A stop-motion refinement that moves the model during each exposure to add natural motion blur. Phil Tippett and Industrial Light & Magic developed it, using it for creatures such as the dragon in Dragonslayer (1981).

Spot it
- 01Smeared limb motion blur
- 02Sculpted miniature texture
- 03Fluid creature movement
Why it happens
Computer-controlled rods drive the puppet while the shutter is open, so each frame records a blurred streak of motion instead of a frozen pose.

Image-to-video prompt“Animate this image as a go-motion creature shot: the main subject moves with weighty, fluid motion while limbs and edges carry natural motion blur, like a miniature puppet with visible sculpted texture and a slight rubbery sheen. Locked-off camera, practical miniature lighting, dusty atmosphere, five seconds. Keep the original subject and composition.”
