Frame Differencing
Subtracting one frame from the next leaves only what changed, showing moving edges on a black background. It is a basic motion detector used in surveillance and background removal.

Spot it
- 01Black background
- 02Glowing moving outlines
- 03Static areas disappear
Why it happens
Each pixel in the output is the absolute difference between two consecutive frames, so unchanged regions become black while moving regions light up.
Recreate it in Pixio
Image-to-video prompt“Animate this image as a frame-differencing effect: a pure black background where only the moving parts of the subject appear as glowing bright outlines and ghost edges, static areas completely dark, slight movement in the subject. Keep the subject and composition recognizable.”
