Flood Fill
The paint-bucket operation: starting from a seed pixel, it recolors every connected pixel of similar color. It is a basic tool for selecting regions and filling closed shapes in paint programs and image analysis.

Spot it
- 01Solid flat color fills
- 02Stops at hard boundaries
- 03Leaks through gaps
Why it happens
Starts at a seed pixel and spreads to its neighbors that fall within a color tolerance, using a queue or stack, until no similar connected pixel remains.

Image edit prompt“Apply flood fill to this image: pick the main connected regions, such as sky, walls and clothing, and fill each with a single flat solid color like a paint bucket would, with the fill stopping sharply at strong edges and leaving fine line detail intact. Use bold, unnatural colors. Keep the original subject and composition recognizable.”
