SnorriCam
A camera rig strapped to an actor’s body that keeps their face fixed in frame while the world lurches behind. Named for the Snorri brothers, it became a staple of 1990s indie and thriller cinema, such as Pi (1998).

Spot it
- 01Face locked in center
- 02Swaying, spinning background
- 03Disoriented, tense posture
Why it happens
Because the camera moves rigidly with the performer’s torso, the subject stays still relative to the lens while everything behind appears to tilt and swing.

Image-to-video prompt“Animate this image as a body-mounted Snorricam shot: the main subject stays perfectly fixed in the center of the frame while the background sways, tilts and lurches as they walk, with a slightly wide-angle lens, stretched perspective, nervous breathing movement and hard cool lighting. Four seconds. Keep the original subject and composition.”
