Levels Stretch
A linear contrast stretch that sets a new black point and white point, expanding the used brightness range to fill the full scale. It quickly fixes flat, hazy, low-contrast images.

Spot it
- 01Deeper blacks
- 02Brighter clean whites
- 03Increased punchy contrast
Why it happens
Subtracts the chosen black point from each value and divides by the range between the black and white points, clipping anything outside it.

Image edit prompt“Apply a levels stretch to this image: set the black point at the darkest actual tone and the white point at the brightest, stretching the tonal range linearly to remove haze, so shadows become truly black, highlights clean white, and contrast is punchy but natural. Keep the original subject and composition recognizable.”
