Video Feedback
Endless tunnels and spirals produced by pointing a camera at the monitor that displays its own picture. Video artists explored it throughout the 1970s as a way to make abstract images with no editing or computers.

Spot it
- 01Infinite repeating tunnel
- 02Trailing glowing echoes
- 03Spiral color swirls
Why it happens
Each camera frame includes the previous screen image, which is slightly rotated, scaled and color-shifted, so tiny changes compound into recursive, self-organizing patterns.

Image-to-video prompt“Animate this image as analog video feedback: the picture recedes into a recursive tunnel of glowing echoes that slowly rotate and spiral, with saturated color trails, scanline texture and soft CRT bloom, hypnotic eight-second loop with slight drifting. Begin with the original subject and composition at the center of the tunnel.”
