Ultraviolet Photography
Imaging with ultraviolet light, which reveals patterns that human eyes cannot see. Early work by Robert W. Wood around 1910 showed flowers and materials with surprising markings, and the method later found uses in science and forensics.

Spot it
- 01Strange glowing patterns
- 02Dark flat shadows
- 03Eerie violet-blue cast
Why it happens
Materials absorb and reflect ultraviolet wavelengths differently from visible light, so surfaces that look uniform to the eye can show distinct contrast on UV-sensitive film.

Image edit prompt“Render this image as ultraviolet photography: eerie violet-blue tone, flat dark shadows, hidden patterns on surfaces glowing pale lavender, fluorescent highlights, soft low-detail texture, faint film grain and a mysterious scientific-specimen look. Keep the original subject and composition.”
