Saturation Boost
An increase in color intensity that pushes each hue farther from gray. It makes foliage, skies and products pop, but overdoing it clips channels and produces neon, unnatural skin and banding.

Spot it
- 01Vivid neon-rich colors
- 02Clipped color blotches
- 03Hot orange skin
Why it happens
Scales each pixel's distance from its gray value, or multiplies the saturation channel in HSV or HSL, clamping any value that exceeds the display range.

Image edit prompt“Apply a heavy saturation boost to this image: push every color to vivid, almost neon intensity while keeping brightness the same, so skies turn electric blue, foliage glows emerald green and skin goes warm orange, with some slight clipping in the brightest hues. Keep the original subject and composition recognizable.”
