Hue Rotation
A shift of every color around the color wheel by a fixed angle while brightness stays the same. It turns greens into blues or reds into greens, and is used for color variations and psychedelic recolors.

Spot it
- 01Shifted unnatural colors
- 02Same brightness structure
- 03Skies turn pink or green
Why it happens
Converts colors to hue, saturation and value, adds a constant angle to each hue modulo 360 degrees, and converts back, leaving saturation and brightness untouched.

Image edit prompt“Apply a 120-degree hue rotation to this image: shift every color around the color wheel so reds become greens, greens become blues and blues become reds, while brightness, contrast and saturation stay exactly the same. Skin and sky turn unnatural. Keep the original subject and composition recognizable.”
