Palette Glitch
The indices of an indexed-color image are mapped to the wrong palette, so shapes stay intact while colors turn psychedelic. It recalls corrupted GIFs and old graphics hardware with broken color tables.

Spot it
- 01Shapes intact, colors wrong
- 02Acid false-color ramps
- 03Banded posterized regions
Why it happens
The picture is quantized to a small palette, then the palette entries are shuffled, shifted or replaced with unrelated colors while pixel indices stay the same.

Image edit prompt“Apply a palette glitch to this image: keep every shape and edge but swap its colors for a wrong, shuffled palette of acid greens, hot pinks, deep violets and oranges, posterized into flat bands, as if an indexed color table were corrupted. Keep the original subject and composition.”
