Frosted Glass
Each pixel is replaced with one randomly chosen from its neighbourhood, producing a grainy, diffused look like a view through textured glass. It is also used for privacy blurring and translucent interface panels.

Spot it
- 01Grainy diffused softness
- 02Scattered pixel shimmer
- 03Obscured fine detail
Why it happens
Every output pixel samples the source at a small random offset, so nearby values are scrambled without being averaged, giving a rough diffusion rather than a smooth blur.
