Color Inversion
A reversal of every channel value so each color becomes its opposite and light becomes dark. It is used for dark-mode tricks, analysis of faint detail and eye-catching graphic effects.

Spot it
- 01Complementary hues
- 02Light and dark flipped
- 03Ghostly alien skin
Why it happens
Subtracts each red, green and blue value from the maximum, so 255 minus the value for 8-bit images.

Image edit prompt“Apply color inversion to this image: replace every pixel color with its exact opposite so white becomes black, blue sky becomes orange, green grass becomes magenta and skin turns pale blue-green, with all detail preserved. No orange film base, tint or grain. Keep the original subject and composition recognizable.”
