Möbius Transformation
A conformal map of the complex plane, named after August Möbius, that turns circles into circles. Applied to images it produces elegant, swirling distortions with preserved local angles.

Spot it
- 01Curving circular flows
- 02Pinched infinite point
- 03Angle-preserving swirl
Why it happens
Each pixel position is treated as a complex number z and replaced by (az + b) divided by (cz + d), which bends the plane smoothly while preserving angles.

Image edit prompt“Apply a Möbius transformation to this image: the picture bent into smooth circular flows around two focal points, one area stretched toward infinity and another pinched and shrunk, curved lines everywhere, a smooth elegant warp. Keep the original subject and composition as recognizable as possible.”
