Photo Booth Strip
A narrow strip of several small portraits taken in quick succession in an automatic booth. Anatol Josepho opened the Photomaton in New York in 1925, and the format became a popular keepsake.

Why it happens
An automatic camera exposes a few shots in sequence on one sheet and develops them in minutes, giving a strip of near-identical frames under direct flash.

Image edit prompt“Present this image as a vertical photo booth strip: four stacked small frames of the same scene with slightly different expressions or poses, harsh direct flash, high-contrast black and white, soft grain, uneven chemical development and a white paper border with creased edges. Keep the original subject and composition.”
