Stereo Day-Night Tissue
Novelty stereo cards from the 1850s and 1860s with a pinpricked, tinted tissue layer. Held to the light, a daytime scene turns to night, with glowing windows, moonlight and fire.

Why it happens
A colored tissue sheet behind the card is pierced with tiny holes, and light shining through from behind brightens windows and flames, while a blue tint transforms the daytime scene into night.

Image-to-video prompt“Animate this image as a stereo tissue card lit from behind: the scene begins in muted daylight, then transitions into a glowing blue-violet night, with pinprick windows, lamps and fires lighting up in warm orange and the sky turning moonlit. Fixed camera, 5 seconds, slight paper texture and an arched card edge.”
