Dynamation
Ray Harryhausen’s method of combining stop-motion models with live-action footage, so creatures appear to interact with actors and sets. He used it for fantasy films beginning in the early 1950s.

Why it happens
Posed models are photographed frame by frame in front of a projected or matted live-action plate, so a miniature seems to share the full-size scene.

Image-to-video prompt“Animate this image with a stop-motion creature composited in: a sculpted fantasy monster with hand-finished scales steps and lunges across the scene in subtle jerky frame-by-frame motion, casting a matched shadow, slight film grain, saturated Technicolor-style color and a 1950s adventure movie look. Keep the original subject and composition.”
